  • I enjoyed the back story. I am an old time listener, engaged many of the Kevin Patrick shows, more of a radio-style production. But, I tell my students change is not better or worse, just different. You have brought the show into a new era. And for that, I am grateful.

Thanks for the kind words Thomas! Glad to hear you've been listening for all these years!

  • I’ve made my comments about this episode & Endurance Planet in general on fb, but for this I will simply say, I echo Thomas’s remarks.

Endurance Planet rocks! Last year, I went back and listened to some of the old podcasts. I heard a few of the Kevin Patrick episodes, just to see what EP used to be like. Then I listened to the first of the new podcasts. Kind of funny to hear Tawnee speaking to “Tim” in a more formal manner back then.

It might be interesting to do a brief interview with Kevin Patrick one of these days, to see what he’s up to now. I see him listed on the website for CBS Radio in Washington, DC. I don’t know if the bio is current.

Tawnee, great show with Ben and a good reminder that anything that is quality, comes a cost.

I totally support any initiative to support the continuation of Endurance Planet and to support its further growth and enhancement.

Pod casting in general needs a viable business model to survive and quality shows like this one should be able to leverage its high number of listeners with potential advertisers and sponsors.

Bring it on and keep up the great work.

Years ago, when the format for EP switched hands, I was rather upset to see my favorite podcast evolve from a story based podcast to an advice and interview podcast. Since then I’ve been pleasantly surprised and love you guys all the same!

But I still lament the loss of the trip reports and tales Kevin used to share on the podcast. As informative as your current shows are it’s difficult to find inspiration in talks about interval training and micronutrients – it takes the emotion and sacredness out of the endurance sports we love and turns them into an instructional textbook. The exceptional information you offer is essential knowledge to our craft, but I feel you could offer a complete experience to your audience if you could bring back some of those amazing stories full of heart, inspiration, and motivation, including view points from average athletes and not just professionals.

I do realise getting the rights to read published pieces and articles can be limiting, if not impossible. For that you may want to use the format like The Dirtbag Diaries Podcast, which has writers and listeners record their own (vetted) stories and publishes them on the podcast.

Just an idea I wanted to share. I’d love to bounce ideas or help. Thanks for all you do and keep up the great work!

      Niki,

      Tawnee
