This week we talk to an ultra runner who “lit a fire” under himself and used the motivation to win The Psycho Psummer 50k. He’s our Trail Nerd of the Month, David Wakefield.

Really enjoyed the interview…great photo!!
Great interview with David, a superb athlete! I first saw him cross the finish line nine years ago, when he placed fourth at the Flat Rock 50K near Independence, Kansas (he won the event four years later). Wonder if he's headed back to Flat Rock this year?
