Thanks for once again having a great show. I had one of the questions discussed on the podcast with regards to heart rate and having such a high one at 215 bpm. I will have the medical center check it further but reponse to the battery….this has been regularly duplicated on 3 separate heart rate transmitters to include Polar S625X, an older Polar as well as the Nike + GPS watch all with the same results…215 so I would say it's not the battery!! Thanks again!

I had an issue with my Garmin 310XT heart rate monitor showing elevated bpm's. The problem was not with the battery, but with the strap. An easy solution was found with a web search. The Polar replacement heart monitor strap uses the same two "snaps" to secure the transmitter. The Polar strap seems to be more durable and works fine with the 310XT's transmitter.

Hi, just stumbled on your page from reddit. It’s not an article I would typically read, but I loved your perspective on it. Thanks for making a blog post worth reading!
