that's too bad. Kevin was a great voice and really connected well with the people. You've done a nice job transitioning him out, but one of the main reasons I listened was because of him. We'll see how it goes. Good luck!

  • Eric Otte says:

Kevin Patrick your docile tones will be missed

  • Joel says:

So Kevin Patrick is no longer hosting the show. Why? And who will be his successor?

I ask these question after 1) seeing Mr. Patrick not listed as a member of the "new team" and 2) listening to today's podcast. It sounded like an "exit interview" from the start, but it wasn't until after the interview had concluded that it was confirmed he would no longer be with the show.

I think it was unfortunate Mr. Patrick was not given an opportunity to reflect on his legacy with Endurance Planet. His personal history was interesting as was how he came to create the show. But it was shoddy not to fess up at the top of the podcast that this would be his last, whatever the reason for that may be.

  • Joel says:

The title at the top of this page is misleading. More accurate would be "Who Is The Man No Longer Behind Endurance Planet?"

    • Actually, Joel, Kevin is the man behind Endurance Planet. He is the reason that it is what it is today, just like Henry Ford is the man behind Ford, even though he isn't running the company anymore.

  • Doug says:

Thanks for the enjoyable, informative, work you have done for us, Kevin Patrick. Hope for you the BEST in your future. We'll miss your uniquely kind and smart personality.

  • Francoise H. says:

Kevin Patrick has shown the spiritual aspects of endurance sports. His interest in telling stories of how the sport relates to life is unique and perhaps entirely his own. I hope he finds another way of telling them– in a book or in some other way.

  • T.K. says:

Great job Kevin! After all these years listening to you I feel like I know you well.

    Good luck to you Ben!

  • Andy Mc Breen says:

I will sincerely miss hearing Kevin"s Interviews. However, life changes and takes new direction all the time.

  • Jeff M says:

What an excellent exit from EP for Kevin. You will be missed. Your podcast's fills the void in endurance sports that the mainstream sports news outlets don't mention. I wish you well on your next en devour.

And I wish Ben much success with taking over.

  • Jimmy says:

    Kevin,

Thank you so much, from the depths of my soul, for everything you have given to us over the years. Your podcasts have been part of the many miles I've put in on the treadmill. I've enjoyed them all. I will miss your voice, and presence during my runs. I wish you the very best on your journey through life. Keep going!

  • Ken says:

Always enjoyed Kevin, great to find out about Ben's other podcast site bengreenfieldfitness.com.
As a listener this transition seemed a bit awkward— a few podcasts ago when Ben came on I was under the impression Kevin was still going to be the voice. Then come to find out in this most recent he's leaving after finding out more about him ?? Kinda of weird the way this went down from a listener standpoint.
Anyway good luck to you Kevin and am looking forward to listening to the new Endurance Planet.

  • Richard says:

I listened to Kevin over one year and will miss his positive style of interviewing people.

  • Tom says:

I'm going to miss Kevin's podcasts. He asked the questions that I wanted to know the answers to. He brought out the mental, spiritual and social side of endurance sports and it's athletes.

  • Adena says:

Like everyone else, I'm sad to see Kevin go, but will do my best to give the new folks a chance. I've learned a lot from the podcasts over the years.

  • Michael says:

I agree with many of the other comments, that Kevin was a key piece to the enjoyment of listening to the Endurance Planet podcasts. Thanks for all your hard work and dedication to the years you've given to Endurance Planet!

  • Michael C. says:

I have enjoyed Endurance Planet podcasts for quite a while now and Kevin Patrick was a huge reason for that. I want to wish him the best of luck where ever his life journey takes him.

  • Jonathon says:

Wow – KP's ouuta here – all ready? Thats just weird. Fingers crossed that EP retains it's personality, honesty and down right entertaining value that it had with KP at the helm. The main reason I listen to EP is for the honesty and the real life stories of the interviewees and the lack of commercialness. Long may it continue.
